About Highpoint Pool
About Us
We are a members-only community pool in Falls Church, VA. We opened in 1966 and have about 400 families in our membership. Although you might think we get our name because we are on the top of a hill, it actually comes from High Point, North Carolina. This was the home town of the founding president of the pool.
Swimming
Our swim team is now known as the High Point Hippos and swam in the NVSL Division 3 in 2019. For information about our swim team and swim lessons, check out the Hippos website.

We have a long wait list of more than 200 families, and it is takes 3-5 years to gain active membership. In order to join the waitlist, please submit your application and $25 application fee at https://highpointpool.membersplash.com/membership/join/
Guest Fees are $5 per person.
Pool members may bring guests under the following conditions:
- A High Point Pool member must accompany all guests and provide a guest pass or pay the guest fees.
- Guest passes cannot be used without a pool member present.
- All guests must pay regardless of whether or not they use the pool.
- The number of guests may be further restricted if the pool manager or assistant manager determines the pool is overcrowded.
- No more than four guests at any one time, except when the guests are all members of the same immediate family. If a member wishes to invite a larger number of guests, the member should book an approved party with the pool.
Only for summer house guests living with the member family and/or full-time child care providers qualify for this designation. The pass is $50 per “Child Care Provider”
- Each person entering the pool must be checked in as a member or signed in as a guest.
- Members and guests must enter through the front desk.
- Members provide their last names to front desk to check in.
- Memberships are not transferable.
- Summer house guests and childcare providers can NOT be included as “Family Members” in membership
Abuse of membership or childcare provider/house guest privileges can result in loss of membership for the remainder of season.
Initial Membership Fee
There is a new member fee of $800.
Family Membership
Dues are currently calculated on family size. A one-person, individual membership is $820. A two-person membership starts at $865 and goes up $25 for each additional family member.

Senior Membership
Senior Citizen Household Membership fees are $300 for one person and $600 for two people. All members of household must be at least 62 years of age to qualify.
August Membership
The August Membership was designed for people on the wait list to enjoy High Point Pool when pool attendance is generally lower. The August Membership allows a family to use the pool at High Point from August 1st until August 31. It is generally granted to the top of the waitlist and the offers continue down until we are full.
Pool Hours: 11:00 AM - 8:45PM Daily
Opening Day: Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend
Closing Day: Labor Day
Except for special events, High Point Pool opens at 11:00 AM and closes at 8:45 PM daily. Members are asked to vacate the deck and bath house no later than 8:55 PM. An announcement will be made to remind patrons and guests of this rule. This clarification is being made to ensure that pool management is able to close the pool facility in a timely manner. The Board appreciates all members’ assistance with regard to the safe and efficient operation of High Point Pool.
